I don't want to start to crave you
only to have you disappear
in the middle of a dream,
before the next page
before the paragraph ends

and though right now
you're simply words on a page,
you could mean everything
if we only believe

we could live inside this scene
full of possibilities,
filled with promises our soul kept
yet, we dare not say
aloud
