Furtive movement draws your eye - 
a mustang poised against the sky. 
Posture regal, air aloof, 
knows her power, needs no proof. 
Shakes herself, she paws the ground, 
lifts her head to glance around. 
Can she see you in your chair 
sitting breathless, while you stare?
She is beauty, whole inside.
Your jealous heart begs you to ride.

she turns and looks right in your eyes. 
Somehow sees you in your home 
imprisoned while she's free to roam. 

An ember sun dispelling dark 
highlights the landscape sterile,stark. 
Mesmerized, you feel her inside 
luring and beckoning you to ride.
 
You exit your cage, cold holds no fears, 
jump on her back, smile as she rears 
hoofs flail the air, wave at the sun, 
spirits soaring, both born to run.
