A Lone Kite
After having my fill of the persistent, static noise. With a void, I retired to my balcony. The blue expanse, comprehending my despair, mutated to a melancholy shade of grey. An earthly breeze, as if trying to lift my cheeks, turned my eyes, to a distant minute entity. I constricted my eyelids, to capture its capricious motion. A lone kite, tied to an ethereal thread. Which was pulled and let loose, by stern invisible hands. As if summoning the sky to a brawl, with undeterred determination, a lone kite ascended. But the unscrupulous grey expanse, shoved it back. It rose, it fell. It rose, it fell. We rose, we fell. We rose, we fell. Exasperated from the pendulum like motion, it descended a little, amassing all its might. A final pull from the stern patient hands. And there it rose, through the shady expanse, so did my cheeks. Dissipating the diabolical clouds, it stood before the sun, scattering its radiance. Tinting the expanse with a bright hue of blue, with twinkles of pink. As a congenial glow encapsulated my despair, I retorted with uplifted cheeks, to my capricious companion. And retreated to a realm, where through the melancholy expanse, I still had to rise.
