Truth and Lies
(The irony of life has left nothing to chance. Beyond every mountain more lay in wait. Bad dreams fog up emotion, until clarity only exists in nightmares.) Forests of doubt tangle our paths We are stuck in a labyrinth of hearts Mistranslationed situations Becoming standard incantations Choices are traps that exist purely to test Consequence of failure that knows no rest Yet life pulls along without slowing down You exist only as a singular noun Reality is what we perceive While fantasy is what our hearts wants to believe The middleground of this floats phantasmal and false Our truth and lies are doing a ghostly waltz
