Addiction
An infant cries in the dark while mom is busy injecting her drug. The children run around the house dirty, matted hair, in need of a hug. The children have not eaten in days because mom's too busy to care. The neighbors stay out of her business and are completely unaware. Mom's priority is to maintain her drug habit which is gradually eating her up Her body is skin and bones, in need of food but instead, she chooses her drug. She can't say no to the drug because it is now controlling her mind She will never be able to keep a job or a family; she has no time. Father left the home years ago because he could not support her use Leaving mom and the children to fend for themselves, no provision or food Life has not been easy for mom and the children as they struggle each day She spends her days crying and using drugs to drown her sorrows away. This is the only life the children have known and they love their mom dearly They try to console her and then take the role of a parent, you see it clearly Mom has no hope or help in sight because she can't find the resource needed She will continue the road to perdition; her drug addiction is deeply seated.
