The Bluegum By The Mulberry Willow Stream
The Harvest is in full sway upon the haze Of Autumn rich to the fruit in the fields But I would lay enamoured by warm rays Enthralled with color and with marvel yields To my heart's yearning in the right way there A place where I have time to listen a take To water burbling at the riverside mear A gentle caress as sweet as baking cake But I would be missing the whole affair To feel a bit left out no sweat to break With daily chores of chasing aloft air But rather then prepare the bed you make: For what can we show in these days of ours But for some satisfaction in soft hours
