My Dear People

These are the only people we will share this life with
I am elated by the fact that you take care of yourselves
While you are here some might come and some might go
But please do not feel left out for you will follow suit
You have always been dear to me but now you are special
Since I have come to see that it will be no other way
I would like to treat people with more care and respect

What I am saying might seem rather out of place but I
Feel like I have left this place altogether to arrive here
When I take a look around now I feel rather whimsical
I see your eyes in pastel blue and I am left puzzled
By the inevitable process in which they must face decay
And so I look and look again at your wondrous orbs alive
Propriety itself wanes in time and such they are borrowed

The worries of the world melt away in a special fashion
Once your heart starts to beam for each gracious second
For bird song and luscious foliage cloud and firmament
These are marvelously temporal things come and passed
In spite of the fact we adore to cling on to this moment
Because unlike everything else now is all we truly have
It makes life worth living in order to share it with you
