The Butcher of Hanover
(Based on a true story) In a far away town, some years ago, there once lived a man who caused so much woe. He'd murder young men, then carve up the meat and sell to the hungry town’s people to eat. Young men went missing, were nowhere in sight. But they ate their steak with famished delight. They'd go to Fritz Haarmann to get some more meat but they didn't know ‘twas young men they'd eat. Fritz Haarmann was shrewd and concocted a plot to con the town’s people by filling their pots. Hitler’s World War had starved out his nation leaving them without their daily rations. Fritz Haarmann would kill boys to make into steaks, all the while thinking of profits he’d make. The lawmen turned blind eyes, pretend not to see this man growing richer amidst poverty. But in due time one could not deny that something ‘bout Haarmann was awfully awry. And thus came and end to his dastardly deeds, sentenced to death via the guillotine.
