THE DEVIL'S BACKDOOR
Ghosts from the past have haunted my dreams, crushing my soul with its claws. Pulling me under furiously, drenching my body with wet, hungry paws. Loosing my grip on reality came all too slow and real. The brilliant hold on my sanity was fading to be their next meal. Faith, I discovered, was a privilege, to those who trusted its might. I however, carried the curse of fighting this desperate fight. Sinful pleasures tormented my soul. Spectacular things I have felt. “The wrath of vengeance is unfortunate though” Just a thought – as I saw my flesh melt. A fiery piece of blazing hell was ignited within my core, as I slowly turned back for one last look Before I took that step through the devil’s backdoor.
