To Sniff The Sun

CuldeSac
Sapphire seas in ocean's bosom gleam,
I glimpse the eternal's endless disk,
As I hear the ancient wind chime's hymn.

Alas, for fate decrees a respite's end,
A distant bell tolls in yonder realm,
A seafowl mocks with cruel laughter's blend.

The mortal stands upon the world's edge,
The sun's rays descend from heaven's peak,
Unto the core of the observer's pledge.

Eyes of a father glimmer from the abyss,
What indulgence, if all is but naught?
Faith must be forged, the soul's eternal bliss.

From nothingness, existence must emerge,
In the abyss's glass, the void unveiled,
A delta betwixt two lids, passions surge.

In twilight's realm, time stands eerily still,
Begging for emotion to pulse life's meaning,
Inconsequence festers in stagnant will.

I sense this glimmering upon the moor,
It fills me upon the barren wasteland's brow,
Bare bones drum a march to fates obscure.

And I revel in the vastness of cosmic jest,
Cackling in crimson-stained, tattered sheets,
For tears drawn from the beyond's bequest.

Man grapples with thoughts of profound weight,
Events' chain burns caverns into his soul,
In abyssal depths, he wrestles with fate.

Can silence grace this thunderous symphony?
Only amidst the boundless ether it thrives,
I hearken while the atmosphere clings, unwaveringly.
