A soul unbound

In the quiet depth of a restless mind,
Where paths diverge, and choices unwind,
A heart that loves with quiet fire,
But knows the cost of deep desire.

A boy, now man, of humble dreams,
Chasing ideals, chasing unseen streams—
Duty calls, a distant shore,
Yet love whispers, forever more.

But love, a force both vast and free,
Brings with it both chains and plea.
A fire, it burns with gentle might,
Yet dims the stars, outshines the light.

"I'll walk alone," he whispers still,
For love could break what fate fulfills.
The mission calls, and calls once more,
But love may open an untold door.

He’s seen betrayal, loss, and pain,
Where hearts are fragile, and trust is strained.
Yet through it all, he stands so tall—
For duty is his sacred call.

But what of love, the purest kind,
Not lust or need, but soul entwined?
Can such a love, so true and deep,
Beheld with honor, in silence keep?

A world of hearts, so torn and worn,
Where love and duty both are sworn.
The question lingers, a whispered plea:
Can love exist and set him free?

So here he stands, a soul, unbound,
In the space between lost and found,
A heart that aches, but still believes,
That love and purpose, too, can weave.

I'm trying to be more humble and kind, by speaking out my unspoken complaints, and grievances here.
