Stubborn refusal to talk to me
Means I’ll never understand,
Why every step I take
To close the gap
Is another step she takes away

Autism grates on every nerve
A pain no one deserves
But when does refusal to heal
Stop being the fault of illness,
When does the swearing and threats
Become a crime,
And not just disease,

2025… another year,
The more things stay the same
The more hope dies!
