19/Celebration Of My Existence
19 Today I am officially Turning nineteen I have finally reached The last year of my teens It amazes me how fast That the years go by It’s like the pages turned Right before your eyes You know what they say Every year that you get older You get a fresh blank page For you to start over I’m hoping that this year Will take me on an exciting journey One that I can discover and become interested In the things that I might be learning Wow next year I won’t be a teen anymore I will be forced to say goodbye to my teens And forever close the door I guess my only option Is to make the best of what’s left Because you never know What might happen next Celebration Of My Existence That time has come again And there is no resistance Today is the day for me To celebrate my existence Nineteen years of living And there is still many more to go Where this road may leave me I will never know I just have to keep moving forward In order to find out I’m not forging my destiny But I will discover it no doubt It’s anybody’s option If they want to shower me with gifts It’s not like I need them To determine the life I live But this time around I want to experience new things I want to discover what life has to offer And what it may possibly bring Today is my day to celebrate The fact that I am alive I no longer want to wait I want to ride the tide So here is to being here And to many more years I hope I should make the most of today Because I’m not promised tomorrow
