Life and death to be determined Rhyme or reason as yet untold Fragility doused in pain unhealing Meandering through awaiting cold Myth and reality entwine together Creating a truth that can be denied Ever lasting, ever frozen, ever lost Standing central, forced to take a side Fire and ice remain conflicting Aching to conform, to co-exist As bitter as it is unforgiving Being drawn towards the darkened abyss Love and hate retrace identical steps Losing to gain, gaining to lose Recoiling from freedom for the taking Chains constricting the ego's that bruise Past and present collide in denial Seeking an answer that continues to grow Confusion drains until nothing is left Pause, pull the trigger, let me go
