A chilling introduction

I’d like to introduce myself, although I trust you know my name, I think I’ll do it anyway if to you it’s all the same. I’ve been around for quite some time I’ve seen some bizarre things. I’ve entertained with presidents, with emperors and kings. I was there when Hitler saw Berlin around him fall. I stood by and watched him as he cowered against the wall. I whispered into Chapman’s ear the awful deed he’d done. The last I heard was Yoko’s scream as Chapman raised his gun. Rasputin gave a gallant fight, as the Royal Court will attest. But very soon his luck ran out and he died like all the rest. I know each and every one of you. I know your greatest fears. I seem to be the subject of the shed of countless tears. I think by now you’ve guessed my name, if I’m not mistaken. My name is Death...I hope this knowledge doesn’t leave you shaken. All must walk the final road from whence your fears abound. Take solace in the fact you don’t know when I’ll come around. Until we should meet again dear reader, I bid thee adieu!
