A Cleansing Cry

·InsanePain

She felt a cry penetrating through the pores of her skin, Its undeniable fangs of poison cracked open her soul, Nothing distracted the pain, for it's to fully win, In murdering her inner demon and watching it fall. Tears poured out of her eyes, So virulent, they burned her cheeks, As they became ashes of hypocrisy and lies, Redemption she seeks. All what she did wrong, Flashed rapidly through her barely conscious mind, She had been sinful for so long, Forgiveness she hoped to find. That cry was a bath of hot water, Cleansed everything that contaminated her, It was like a bloody slaughter, Of everything that she previously saw as right and fair.
