A Crimeless Victim

If only we could fight no more Why must this world be forever at war? World leaders,presidents, are they all tyrants? Is it really a necessity to resort to violence? Innocent lives forever lost Why is peace not free? Must it come at a cost? A problem arises & war is declared A few choice words could mean lives might be spared Women lose husbands & daughters or sons Who started all this, where has it begun? More importantly though, when & where will it end? A life to the leaders is a penny to spend In this world that they live they can never atone For an expectant mother left forever alone A husbandless wife with a fatherless child A crime for which no-one will ever stand trial
