A Heart Unsung

A Heart Unsung Forever it seems that I am far away Hidden I show that good times never stay I crossed into the Night and discovered the truth That emptiness is meant for the well uncouth Death and glory may go hand and hand And pain and struggles may take me to the Promised Land Even though dangerous Desire slowly and painfully kills the young Imagine living on this Earth with a heart unsung. Isolation of the mind is a disgrace to the soul Spirits of the Past grasp the body and refuse to let go Daring companionship is not meant to be avoided by any part For no pain can compare to the freezing of the heart Differences of the crazy lives that surround an artificial peace Only worsen the confusion that Solitude creates when it creeps A loveless journey destroys the innocent hopes of the young Imagine living on this Earth with a heart unsung. Staying in a shell keeps all secure and very alone Yet there are difficulties that arise and mess with my comfort zone Because deep in isolation I have found out How complicated it is to avoid depression, fear, and doubt This fear keeps me from knowing Love and truly living So it must be important to take risks without forgetting That isolation does steal precious Time from the young Imagine living on this Earth with a heart unsung. Imaginations can be wild and dreams can be free But they mean nothing if we become too blind to see The futility of not understanding how to care for one another Harsh judgments come to fruition from not relating to each other Yet Spirits of the Past grasp my body and refuse to let go The hopes and dreams I keep inside make me cold and only show An illustration to those who are so lucky to still be young What it is like to live a life with a heart unsung.
