There’s too much noise for me to shut out All alone in a room while two others shout They bark about things that doesn’t make sense Provoking each other, they won’t make amends Is love really so hard? Why can’t they just get along? Shouldn’t this be my shelter? Is this where I belong? I’m trying too hard to block this all out I should use this energy to try figure it out Then I can come to their rescue; not just sit on the fence But what if I become the target for their next offense Should I really interfere? Won’t it be wrong? Wait what am I saying? Am I really that strong? Here come the threats, here comes the lies Here comes the part I so much despise They act like its normal, like all is okay Like they will believe the lies they portray The silence sets in, how long will it last? Dear God, please let the noises remain in the past?
