A Leaf so Green Gently Falls from Heaven
Up he looks – a leaf he sees, So gently flutter from above; The leaf, so green, so fresh, and pure, Now gently lands upon his glove. A shrieking whine now overhead, A thund’rous roar shakes the ground; A loud explosion rocks his world, He shrieks and screams with fear unbound. A leaf so green - so gently held, As on his palm once it lay; But from on high and raining down His palm just fills with ashes grey. What now, oh Putin with smile so sweet, ………? What now for the boy with a leaf so green ……..? 5 June 2022 This poem was written to emphasise the terrible state of affairs in the Ukraine and the influence of the President of Russia - dear Putin.......

Love creativity - especially writing - poems especially. Love my wife, cats, our church, reading, warm weather (so rare here!) and snow - quite common these days - even in spring....
