A Lizard in the Wild - Life

Ok, so I had to make a poem somewhat relating to my life and an animal that relates to it. I'm a Freshman in Highschool and have had little experience with poems. So here is what I came up with anyone to help me it is much appreciated. Thanks alot. I need basically it to be edited and if a line shouldnt be there I would like to be notified, but I want to keep this generic backround. Also is the grammar and punctuation correct? A Lizard in the wild, Running throughout the desert in the dirt, Is just like me as a child. Lizards get hurt, But they always heal, Just like Nick Beall Sometimes lizards can have fear, Others might be shy, For me it is both here, And I tell you this is no lie. But lizards always come out when there is a meal, Just like Nick Beall A lizard is always alert, Waiting for prey basking in the sun, Like me waiting for my frozen dessert. Lizards do what they want and have fun, They can be obnoxious a great deal, Just like Nick Beall Thanks guys Im a brand new member so i hope I'm doing this right!
