A Long Time Coming
For what seems like forever now Thing have been changing We are not as we once where And everything is different The wind blows queerly And tossing leaves About the air The sky is gray And the trees have begun to shed The cold nip and bits And causes such pain Our bone tell us As summers is passed That we are getting old We think on the past Thing of what we have What we don’t And of what we want As the grass browns And the bird fly south There is something in the air The wheel churns And things change It’s been a long time coming The morning doe Now just frost You can feel it in the air And from you window you can see The snow…. So white, so fair.
