A Moment With Life
The sun slowly rises A breeze enters my room The walls turn yellow From grey in the beams By the window time fades The blinds lightly tap My mind finds the chance To bask within the space The wind kisses my heart By the flavour of the day In a display of the senses Closing my eyes in peace The early birds grow quiet A smell of food appears I can feel the day dying Morning is already lost Before I run out of time I think while I still can Of how each aspiration Always lasts but a moment I wake up to the blinds Turning back to yellow From the bright beige They were at noon The blinds turn grey And I doze off to dream A dream about the ghost Of my unborn daughter
