A Muffled Song
Through autumn leaves in place unknown I drove along a mystic road The wind blew fresh, the Moon up high Was lighting up my way so bright. The radio played a muffled song The one I heard long time ago. So sweat and mellow, so familiar - I tried to think where I could hear it. Just as I heard the music start Delightful sorrow filled my heart Like when you're listening the blues That brings up memories confused. When you recall a joyful day And then too quick it fades away You smile inside, remembering all And feeling bitter, cause it's gone... I have no clue how long or far That windy night I drove my car I loved the song to that extent That wished the ride would never end. Then I woke up. The dream was over. Oh, God, why wasn't it my choice? Few seconds later I overtly Recalled the sound of your voice.
