A New Dawn

The world waits with baited breath You can see the anticipation in the eyes of al humanity The moment the worl has long been waiting for Has now finally come upon us As the sun rises over the mountains to the east Its rays and glow painting the earth a golden bright The world bathed in its light The dark shadow that's been hanging over it suddenly disappears Like a man born blind suddenly gaining sight! Hope is etched on the faces of the poeple replacing fear and dispair Peace,the sound of ululating voices and joy fill the air Jealousy, greed, selfishnes and hatred are eliminated By an abundance of love, kindness and compassion they are substituted Tears are replaced by contagious and affectious smiles Sobs, pain, agony and suffering are replaced by joyful cries Unity becomes the order of the day, binding even the most bitter and arch-enemies And forging and even stronger bond with old allies The birds sing in the trees and rivers flows freely with rich, clean and healthy water Children play outside, while their parents sit under a tree, talking and watching The soil welcomes this change with open arms as it sprouts up a healthy crop and the sweetest fruit And the sweet smell of roses and sunflowers fills the air like a long-lasting perfume All this comes with the start of a bright new day As history is rewritten on a new, blank page A lot about this day will be said As the day a new firm foundation was laid All this at the break of a New Dawn!
