A play of heart

·Ilse

She says she is happy I hear the words Yet I look at her features And wonder its truth Here a woman Totally committed To another Able to show Unlimited love Proved her faith Dedication to this soul Yet she keeps none for herself Distorted the picture As with all Is all you see the way it is? An “act” comes to mind I will play the part of the perfect companion You will be the wounded spirit I will prove to you what you can be Because I see it You will hurt me many times As you fight my heart You will give in and I will be the victor I have managed to save your soul And in turn saved my own The curtains close On dreams, on reality, on us “I am happy”, she says With a tear in her eye
