A POEM FOR POSTERITY
POEM FOR POSTERITY * After I'm gone, maybe you will find this And pass it on down, to those who come after us. * I wonder if problems that we helped to make have now become permanent, your destiny's fate? * I wonder what new ones will challenge you next? as the power of greed, becomes all entrenched. * In all levels of society it eats like a cancer, perverting all ethics into abstracts of nature. * Don't care about people, don't care about morals, and those who make money are worshiped as heroes * Who will try to stop it; will you try to change it? Or let complacency rule through the corporate deranged? * How long can it last, how long can it corrupt, threatening the survival of our very existence. * For I have heard voices even louder than my own they're calling from the future; they're calling me home. * They won't stand for being ruled, by a privileged few Who have the audacity to make their own rules. * The fools who were permitted, to loot unbridled, as they counted their money, while our leaders sat idle! * Do you ignore the problems, as if non-existent? Or leave them alone for the next ones to fix? * Do you clear the land, of these self-appointed czars, and forcefully take back what is rightfully yours? * I see them moving slowly, everyday making progress, as they take back the land, and do what is best * There's hope in the future, though now it looks bleak! They're cleansing the temples to fight for the weak! * For it's in God's plan to right the folly of man, and write the unrighteous who don't understand! * WordPlaya, April 2009

I enjoy writing and since rediscovering the power of poetry, it has brought me much joy! My favorite poet is Richard Brautigan, and I am a big fan of freestyle poetry, as I find it less limiting and most creative. I also like spoken word poetry. ...
