A rainy day
On just another rainy day I got up late And made some tea And as the hours dripped away I did some work And watched TV I went outside to buy some bread My hair got wet I made more tea I had a song stuck in my head I ate some lunch And watched TV My work all started going wrong I gave it up To some degree And Google searched that bloody song My laptop sat Upon my knee The day turned to a rainy night I did more work And had some wine I got up and switched on the light And no one called Or wrote a line It was another rainy day It was itself Did not pretend To have a meaning anyway And just like this It had no end
