A river dies
As love for me is gone for you, And my heart is killed, rigid and tight, The river turns from flawless blue, And changes to icy, evil white. A man is alone, he has run away, Tomorrow he'll be elated, While sadness in me is so clearly today, By sorrow I am berated, So keep me dead, leave me in my casket, Condolences given in oceans of tears Pretty little gifts in blackened charred baskets, That gift for his birthday back, oh how it sears, So what on earth will my friends say I do? They couldn't know i'm in sheer endless night, Whilst the river turns from flawless blue, And changes to icy, evil white.
