A Thousand Thoughts
All is silent tonight Dead like a log Still is my sight A thousand thoughts Enter my mind Like the crashing of waves They refuse to pass me by. Travelling to the speed of light A thousand thoughts Haunt me tonight Too afraid to blink Too exhausted to think But it seems to enter Into my every dream. A thousand thoughts I’m too scared to out-think The conclusion may have me torn The result might be to drink. I cannot hide from all these thoughts Though I’ve tried once or twice To run away in the still of the night. Sinking in every worry A thousand and a thousand Times more My thoughts cause me to worry.
