Adrift
Her presence washes over me like the pull of a spring tide. In her absence, I am drawn out to sea like an abandoned raft, floating aimlessly, hoping for an East wind to nudge me back to shore. Forever adrift, I hold onto the memory of her venomous taste. It’s paralyzing sting keeps me from fighting the relentless tide. I drift alone, waiting her return to guide me back to safe harbor.

My grammar is terrible, my spelling non existent and I have no idea what the form should even look like. But I am moved by the written word so I will throw anything on paper that seeps out of my warped brain...
