African Mirror
Cleanse my vision from the smoke of confusion let the breeze of truth blow away the fog of Eurocentric deception Give me an African Mirror that I may see myself through the eyes of my ancestors not the blurred vision of colonial masters Listening to that call of ancient fathers that resounds in the songs of African liberty claiming back our identity knowing freedom as more than a philosophical persuit Baptise me in the tears of African Martrys Anoint me with hte oils of the Pharaohs Appoint me a prophet of Afrocentric revolution a meesanger of decolonisation of the African mind GIve me an African mirror That I may see myself through the eyes of my ancestors not the blurred vision of colonial masters.
