Age of Innocence
He was once a beautiful child He was my one and only son Now he lives in a prison cell His age of innocence has gone She was once my lovely daughter She was full of laughter and fun Now she walks the streets at night Her age of innocence has gone She was once my radiant bride She vowed I was the only one Now she’s living with another Our age of innocence has gone I sit here with my memories In a room that is dark and bare To where did the innocence go? Or perhaps it was never there
