Aging
I find it ironic as I am progressing in age I am getting ready for the next page. The next page is a new chapter in my life I will try to forget the past and not think twice. I will forget the past if I choose to do so Because there's thing I don't want you to know There are things that have happened in my past I'd rather not talk about I prefer putting it to rest. My hair is gray and my face is getting wrinkled I stay inside my home and I refuse to mingle There is nothing that entertains me anymore Sometimes it doesn't feel that good to be 64. My body aches and my knees are getting weak I can't stand up very long, I need a walking stick They call these periods the "Great Golden Age!" Do they really understand the progression stage? I sound negative and skeptical about my life This is reality and every day is a major strife I wish I could sugar coat it but I can't But I know each day for me is God-sent.
