Aging and Forgetfulness
Life is slowly fading away I get a little older every day I can't recall what I did today Much less yesterday. I go to the mall, can't find my car I don't see it anywhere, near or far My eyeglasses are lost again In my pocket or on my noggin. I walk to the fridge to get a bite On the way there, I lose sight Why did I walk from here to there? My mind wanders everywhere. I search for my keys where I set them down It's an emergency so we all look around We finally find those doggone keys I guess I need help, some expertise. Things are getting a little more difficult And unfortunately, life is a little more fickle As we get older we become slightly incapable But I pray that our mental acuity remains stable.
