Amazed
Golden light, a halo frames A goddess in the sun. The emerald grass kisses your feet, As you move gracefully through the meadow. The heavens adorn themselves, In the purest of blues, In anticipation of your presence. Even nature is blessed. The birds sing sweetly Their best song to you, As flowers stretch their petals Just to touch your shadow. My heart falters, My mind goes blank. I am speechless In the presence of an angel. Beauty unmeasured, Grace beyond compare, The pulchritude of heaven Is paltry when compared to you. The very ground, Sighs in joy at your step. The stream carresses your feet, As you smile, I am raptured. The weeds tickle your palms, And you smile. Your laugh amazes me, It is music without measure. If life was over With this my last breath, Then I have made heaven In this moment with you. The sun streams it's glory Over your golden tresses. The wind cries out in ecstacy At being able to touch you. You amaze me. You complete me. You are my very breath, my pulse. And every moment, every day, this is how I see you.
