(I am doing a whole collection of poems about the lady of the lake, some rhyme some don't this is one of many, I would like to post them all sooner or later, the way life is going it looks like later but I shall try for sooner. The poem is as follows, hope everyone is well -nervous nightmares and delightful dreams ~vamp) An Angel At the Lake Of Avalon I saw her walking on my shore, A maiden torn as...an earth bound angel. She stained my sand with blood so red, And made my waters churn. The ripples started deep and rose to greet her palm, She did not tell me who she was. She never saw me there. She did not seek the sword...Excalibur, Why was she on my shore. Her fingers touched my water, She poisoned me. More than the beach was red, Blood and water mixed. No man has ever dared to violate my waters, So why this cut up angel. Why does it feel so good, No one swims within my lake, Yet she is submerged. How did we meet, A cut up angel and the lady of the lake. -Sept 06 Sheena Allen
