Isolated Incidence It was only once you said, The first time. My doubt over-ruled by forgiveness, But your skin you punctured again, And let synthetic bliss flow inside you. The second time. My anger beyond measure, Released in knuckle and foot, I raised you! I cared for you! But feeling what was done, Was done, I forgave. I returned with drink and reconciliation, TV gone, Hi-fi gone. My rage manifesting in broken glass, And broken memories Your friends hurled abuse, “Fuck off, he don’t need you!” I RAISED HIM, I CARED FOR HIM My torment becoming murderous Where is he?! The shed. I found you, the empty syringe near, The third time The last time Your soulless eyes and still heart Confirmed my fear. I raised him, I cared for him But the temptation of a false happiness, Took my son And my soul
