Angel (0104)

·MoonFay

Jan 2004 I called out to the universe, she replied on the soft lips of an Angel. I gazed in disbelief, too afraid to touch, to speak her name, les the gift be taken. So I did all I knew, I led the way down the silver moonlit path. I glanced back to see her gone, called by ...some other. Someone not afraid to call her name, to demand her presence for their own. I watch them on the horizon, longing to whisper her sweet name. I saw her angelic wings ripped slowly, feather by feather by that someone... Who pulled and tossed them carelessly to the wind, as though they'd grow back! Daily, I watch the angel grow more and more earth bound, tear after tear I'll chase each feather, sweet Angel, dancing upon the wind, till all are safely with me. I'll whisper your name till my voice is lost forever or … Till you, sweet gentle Angel, gesture to the moon's path where the Empress sits in waiting. To BM
