Angel

My 8am shirt, Looks better on you. Watching your movements, The hesitance in speech. The early morning glow, The realisation. A choice you made, It cannot be undone. You never imagined. In your wildest dreams, How your night would change. A fable of the winter. Gazing out the window, Eyes upon the thunderous sky. I can see your thoughts, Your celestial equations. We're safe from the sky, We're safe from everyone. I saw you. Trapped by convention. You saw me. Freed by impassion. Somehow, I feel liberated. A small act for me, A new path for you. Do you have regrets? You have time now, Time to process I paid a great price, Was yours greater? You didn't seem to worry, The burden I placed on you. My shirt creased as you pull Your knees to your chin. Don't think I'll leave. You can see my eyes, Drinking in your form, Savouring the taste. Would I be presumptuous? It was only a night, But we're together now. I'll wait, I'll hope. Because I had an Angel, For a night. An Angel, no more, In any eyes but mine.
