Angel (adult)
ANGEL Wondering in the south desert lively and bare. I hunt the button sacred in this place. As night settles in I become the daring air. I float into the abyss as the scene dims. With satisfaction I watch the gloom displace Any sign of hazard to my eager limbs. This quest into nothing to make clarity mine, Will end with me learning all or gaining decay. I will drift patiently until given the sign. I hear the warning of the serum I desire. The potion I need to guide me the way To the notion of enlightenment I aspire. I steer towards the magic behind the sound, Raring to pass through the invisible wall. Hypodermic enamel enters my round. My first lesson learned is the pain is extreme. Unexpectedly I unleash my primal call, As the knowledge infiltrates my blood stream. With my first trance broken I limp with intent. I need to reach my igloo and consult the doctors, Who will unveil my mission on which I am bent. The calls arrive earlier than I expected. I run from the stars who become my proctors, For this ancient test I hadn’t respected. She appears to me from a subtle brume. Congealing from nothing into a vision. She kindly offers herself for me to consume. I hesitate overwhelmed by consternation, As she first patiently awaits my decision, Then edges me past my disinclination. Thus begins a lengthy period of changes. I felt we drifted in and out of the planes, As we made our celestial exchanges. Awakened by the scorch I want to rejoin Our previous pleasures, but am blocked by the pains, Of the thousands of thorns in my hands, face, and groin. Nancy Reagan and Mr. Mackey agree. "Drugs are bad. Mkay." This is the "sister piece" to "Vaikunta". I do that a lot. I'm curious to know how common it is, for people to write a second poem, trying to put down what was left out of the first.

Aaron Snyder
arsnydermediocrepoet.com I was born at that place. Then I went there. Next I was at the location. From there I went to do that thing. I saw the stuff, at the place, where the people are. Now I'm doing something, somewhere where less people are....
