AS BLOOD REIGNS DOWN As blood reigns down On those who have none As blood reigns down The damage was done It dripped from the top Of the capitol steps It dripped from their mouths And reignedon the rest It clouded the minds Of those who can’t see It struck them blind Like the Pharisees Their magic book Could help them no more As their tattered flags Laycharred on the floor Their words proved false To those with reason Once so cliché but now out ofseason For many are those Who rose in anger Who took to the streets Ignoring the danger As beaten bodies Lay bare in the sun For all they took They died with none For justice prevails When there is none And diplomacy fails When blood reigns down ~ WordPlaya, November 11, 2011 ~
