As In Noah's Day
As In Noah's Day Biblical Men and Women #4 The World was so corrupt And filled with violence be, That God came to Noah “Friend of God listen to me.” “I repent that I made this earth “These people think evil all the time, “A flood will come and wash away “All this pain and crime.” “But,” he said, “Friend of mine you are “I see you love and walk My Way, “In peace and love you live your life “In safety you will stay.” “Make you a ark of gopher wood “Three story, many rooms you’ll need, “Protect it with pitch inside and out “To each detail you must heed.” Noah measured out every log According to the cubits given, He pitched heavily the wood He worked as he was driven. Inside and out the pitch was laid Protecting it from waters strong, It kept the ark dry and safe Four thousand plus years long. Then came the animals unclean Two by two came they, And those who were fit to eat By sevens came in that day. God shut the door with His own hand Making sure very safe they’d stay, One week later the rains came down For forty days and nights display. When Jesus comes to take His own Back to heaven with Him then, He too will shut the door Himself Man’s probation closed again. And like in Noah’s violent times Only a remnant will ready be, How I pray in Jesus Name It includes you and me. Believe God’s Word alone By it measure what it True, And we will be prepared To enter heaven anew. By, Marie D. Glass01/09/08
