In being myself, the authentic me I have learnt that loss must follow me Always changing and feeling new Brings such growth, but sadness too Peeling away layers and letting them go To walk into voids of what I don’t know I need to be brave and follow my heart And see everyday as the start On knowing the truth sets me free It makes it easier to be me I keep realising I’m not alone We all share the same stepping stone Such a heart warming thought that we are all one Makes walking this life feel like a lot more fun Taking risks is easier to do When there are others looking over you No answers it seems, just be and enjoy Relish the light, leave the past behind Use what you know and do what makes you feel good Be aware of your journey and where you have stood Like the pebble on the beach constantly turning I accept the changes by growing and learning I’m exposing my truth for all to see Taking a risk and being me
