Author Says (Well Done)

The demoniac clown cackles and howls While an angel of sorrow kneels and bows For lost in the moment of "now" much is forgotten Lost in the time that's allowed Excuses wear thin They all say, day after day every generation "the rules have changed since yesterday The times are changing" (Sounds to me like normal youthful rebellion) But deep in men's hearts they deceive themselves Rather than hear the Author speak They listen attentively to the men who pervert and re-write history What does the Author say of our ministries Our sciences, our liberties? what does the Author say of our psychologies Our understanding, our rationality? What does the Author whisper in the gentle breeze About what it means to live righteously? What after all will He say to me If I'm still and listen attentively?
