I have been asked to read a few poems at a big poetry event in Chicago on the 25th. I was thinking of reading "My Hunger", "The Hand You Cannot See" and this older one "Avarice" Any opinions are very much appreciated! Thanks ~LB AVARICE Your love brands me like the sun's morning kiss of dawn My passion wrapped around you forcing my feminine ripeness against your vulnerable flesh your vain resistance a minor nuisance I seek your molten core Yield at last to my inevitable need Powerless against the torrent I bring to bear I take what is mine I devour your fierce masculinity

I have been writing poetry and fiction for several years now. It is truely one of my great pleasures in life to create beauty with words.
