Battles, Bloodshed And Tears #3
The next day Todd awoke Went into his bathroom to freshen up Looked at himself in the mirror as he shed Tears of sorrow into his mouth washing cup Then he put on a suit And adjusted his tie The fact that he had cancer He would try to deny But there was no telling When he was gonna die He could collapse anywhere at anytime Death never has a reason why He went to work reluctantly Not looking forward to seeing a single face As he sat at his desk filing paperwork His boss was nagging his ear off all day Todd decided that he had enough So he called his boss a douche bag and quit Then he poured coffee in his face and Jammed a stapler into his head like he didn’t give a shit Then he got into his car And drove to an ATM Withdrew a thousand bucks It was nothing to him So he drove to the airport Bought himself a plane ticket Waited around for departure He was impatient and time was tickin’ He then boarded his plane to Las Vegas Ready to escape from his troubles He felt care free and like airborne bubbles He blew his stress away By Glenn McCrary © 2009 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
