Be I this Empire’s King
Be I this Empire’s King, Then on my head place the crown, And make My Girl my Queen, And watch my Empire crumble down. Be I this Empire’s King, And my Queen My Girl-eternal, Our people we would serve, Own riches too, and garments purple. Be I this Empire’s King, Then place the crown above her lashes. This indecision will burn my Empire Down to dusty ashes. Be I this Empire’s King, I’d know not what to do. Some days I want to love you Girl, Some days I just stay blue. I smile and then I frown, Uplifted and then down. I struggle to respond as In my ears conflict resounds. I read your words in silence. January’s hold was cold And tight around my neck; A noose of violence ‘round my soul. I read your last letter, But Girl, I never replied – I hope you understand The Masterplan was on my mind. My Empire needs me now, But I know that so do you – Why must we all choose just the One, And still risk losing Two?
