Beat Faster

He was speeding down the road Many times way too fast She was clinging to his hips Wishing this could last The bike sped even faster The road was soon to curve He wouldn't be able to control it If he had to stop, wave, or swerve Slow down she shouted at him He laughed and shook a no Please she loudly begged Slow down or let me go Tell that me you love me first He said with a grin I will until forever But I am scared, please give in He laughed and yelled back to his girl Take my helmet, it hurts my eyes She whipped it off his head to hers Never seeing the lie The next morning the headlines blared Bad crash, one survived He gave his only protection So his love could stay alive The brakes went out on the bike No way to stop once he start So he heard the words to give him courage Gave her his helmet and his heart He didn't want to scare her So he did what he could do He gave her the reassurance That he would love her forever too -Katie London- -April 20th, 2009- -6:15pm-
