Beaten(And The New)

Waking as if by new birth With none so joyous fare She is free of curses Yet shadows still linger on frosted air Out of darkness she has come But many years will not lose quickly How can an icy heart be warmed She does not have an answer For years she toils burdened Weighed down by twisted cross In desperation, calling far She cries for absolution From warm breezes south Comes love as wide as oceans And shadows that have once held sway Are met and matched by maker To those with hope...and those who need it
